On March 4th, 2015 the Kentucky Association for Environmental Education held a fundraising luncheon at The Park Lands of Floyds Fork. Students from Sayre Middle School in Lexington and Virginia Chance Elementary School in Louisville gave short presentations to the luncheon crowd. A theme of the luncheon was the importance of environmental education in schools in order to raise awareness and responsibility. The importance of playing outside and experiencing the outdoors was also touted.
